Histeria Film Review

On Tuesday I write my postings in English. A Malaysian horror film, titled Histeria will be out this Thursday 18 of December 2008. But I watch Histeria during a special preview. It was a nice event with some actors came with costumes on. Histeria centered a group five (or is six) school girls living in a boarding school. These girls are really naughty (meaning that they like pulling pranks and summoning spirits). One day they were punished and sent to live in an isolated building. Because of their habits of summoning spirits, they are terrorized by a ghost/monster. Like most American horror movies the monsters kill the characters one by one.

Histeria is a simple and fun movie. It's unique that it tries to be like an American horror movie. Especially the ghost/monster looks different. Most local horror movies look like the pontianak. This one looks like an American ghost/monster( maybe a tourist monster). A good but not great film. Not as good as others such from Thailand or Japan. I think its par with most American horror movies. (3/5 STARS)
